PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES The job holder has the primary focus to contribute to the growth and profitability objectives of GPS through establishing and executing approved product commercialization strategies in Hong Kong and achieving the set products performance objectives, particularly in the corporate and commercial banking segment. He/ she is required to work closely with GPS executives across the organisation in Products, Sales and Client Management teams, and other business functions such as IT and Operations teams. In addition, he/ she needs to establish close working relationships with external partners in order to be successful in the role.
Key responsibilities include,
- Lead the execution of the product strategies for Paper and Low Value Electronic Payments in Hong Kong to meet the assigned targets on product penetration and usage.
- Manage the P & L of the assigned products set for Hong Kong and ensure plans are on track
- Lead various initiatives to drive p2e, manage the product cost, mitigate product risk and impose appropriate fees to cover the cost and risk exposed.
- Derive and execute commercialization and revenue initiatives to drive product performance for customer acquisition, retention and maximise utilisation
- Liaise with operations in process design related to the assigned product
- Produce tools and collateral to facilitate the commercialisation or familiarisation of assigned products
- Deliver sustainable expense savings and expedite revenue realization by working with Operations and Client Management to improve solution fulfillment process efficiency or outsource non-core functions, etc.
- Extend support on various migration and derisking initiatives related to payment products as a whole.
TECHNICAL SKILLS/CAPABILITIES - Minimum of 8 years work experience in banking, FinTechs, or market/ client facing banking functions.
- Proven experience in payments product management, IT and operations, process improvements or project management disciplines.
- A competent project leader, able to lead and motivate a team to achieve success.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze complex problems, interpret customer and/or operational needs and develop integrated, creative solutions.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English is expected.
- Proficiency in Cantonese/ Mandarin is an advantage.
