Responsibilities:
  • To support Global Relationship Banker (GRB) or local Relationship Manager (RM) in developing and managing the China corporate relationships, which includes maintenance and penetration for strong existing relationships.
  • Act as primary point of contact for clients and internal colleagues. Work with various middle/back offices to ensure smooth delivery of client solution and efficient feedback to client inquiries.
  • Contribute to identifying strategies to maintain / enhance overall relationship return and ensure early identification of potential credit issues
  • Provide high quality industry sector, competitor and peer analysis to support business development, portfolio management and credit risk assessment
  • Identify marketing opportunities, undertaking appropriate analysis and preparation of proposals, presentations and pitches for new products and services
  • Prepare client meeting materials/presentations, and where relevant participate in and contribute to high quality of client meetings.
  • Complete review and submission of credit risk returns including limit excess/exception, security/documentation outstanding, monthly credit control reports etc.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators

Qualification
  • Strong business knowledge and a working knowledge of corporate banking clients and products that are utilised but with the ability to gather information when required to fill the skill gaps
  • Good understanding of risk management and risk mitigation and strong knowledge of the regulatory requirements and KYC standard
  • Proven track record of the ability to drive new business initiatives by pulling in the Bank's resources effectively. Proven track record of quality contribution to drive event deal.
  • University graduate with excellent client service skills. Experience in client facing role and investment banking experience or knowledge is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and able to work independently under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, Mandarin, and Cantonese
