A well-established investment management firm is seeking a proactive, goal-oriented professional to join its Fund Operations & Accounting team. This role provides broad exposure to fund accounting, valuation, audit, and tax reporting for investment vehicles and group entities, offering an excellent platform for career growth in alternative investments.
Key Responsibilities - Perform monthly closing and financial reporting for funds
- Prepare and review accounting reconciliations and financial schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct private loan and collateral valuation and perform impairment testing.
- Analyze fund performance and risk metrics; produce reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor liquidity positions and assist in annual budgeting and forecasting.
- Collaborate with fund administrators, middle office, and IT teams to automate and enhance closing and reporting processes.
- Liaise with external legal counsel and consultants on regulatory matters.
- Facilitate annual audits of Cayman funds and SPVs.
Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within an investment firm, with a strong background in audit, accounting, finance, or financial reporting.
- Prior Big Four audit experience strongly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of valuation, impairment testing, and risk analysis.
- Excellent communicatoin skills in in English and Cantonese (spoken and written).
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
