About the team
Operations Planning Section is to provide operations administration and operation support within departments. Also, promote Operation and System projects in corporation with other departments or Head Office and to establish the business continuity plan to mitigate the risk to the branch under emergency situation.
Role requirements
- To assist Section Head in planning and implementing branch-wise systems enhancement projects and other IT & Operational projects through coordination with relevant departments/sections in Hong Kong, overseas, and Head Office.
- To perform various tasks related to operations of the branch, coordinate with other departments/sections to prepare various operation related reports to Head Office/Local Authority, internal procedure review etc.
- To provide operational supports to other branches whenever necessary
- To perform any other duties assigned by superiors
Essential Functions
- Planning and management of systems enhancement projects and other IT & Operational projects for the “Ideal Operations & Systems Model†for HK Branch, coordination with relevant departments/sections in Hong Kong, overseas, and Head Office, arrangement / holding of meetings, and preparation of status reports, meeting materials and minutes.
- Operational support and training inside/outside the branch, whenever necessary.

Work experience, education and skills
- Bachelors Degree holder;
- 4-5 years experience in back office operations in Banking;
- Good project management and planning skills with knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid;
- Familiar with core banking systems or robotics process automation (RPA) would be a plus;
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and deliver projects on time;
- Experience in managing projects with Head Office or Regional Office would be an advantage;
- Able to work with different stakeholder with good negotiation skills;
- A good team player with sound communication skills and presentation skills
- Good command of both English and Chinese;
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Suitable candidate with less experience will be offered at Assistant Vice President Level.
