Associate, Data Standards Specialist, Business Operations
Key Accountabilities
- Data Standards and Management
- Formulate data standards guidelines;
- Drive data standardization across the firm;
- Develop and maintain metadata across the firm;
- Provide data standard training;
- Drive data standardization to improve data quality;
- Lead and execute data quality improvement activities.
- Data BAU
- Update data relevant policies and guidelines;
- Coordinate with Head Office to make sure firm wide is in line with Head Office requirements and expectations;
- Ensure firm wide is in compliance with both internal policies and guidelines as well as external regulation and industrys requirements and best practices;
- Implement the requirement of policies and processes from Head Office;
- Be a facilitator to execute firm wide data initiatives taking into account the appropriate local requirements from relevant parties and project manage systems changes, when applicable.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor degree in Information System, Business Management, Translation, or a related field;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data standardization, data management or related roles, preferably in the banking or financial services industry;
- Candidates with over 2 years of full time working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is considered as an advantage;
- Strong in data standardization and data management;
- Problem solver with excellent communication skills and ability to formulate and remediate the resolution from complex environment;
- Capable of planning and executing on both short-term and long-term goals;
- Previous experience on understanding and interpreting PRC regulations would be advantageous;
- Proficient in Chinese and English, preferable native in Putonghua.
