We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a 
Senior Director, Capital Management.   Principal responsibilities   -  Assess capital stack structure of insurance entities and insurance holdings, including coordination of financial, and strategic analysis helping the Insurance businesses to optimise capital levels and structure and therefore maximise both shareholder returns and Group capital adequacy ratios. 
  -  Implementation of capital actions of HSBC Life entities (capital injection/reduction, capital/debt restructuring, dividends payment), liaising with Group / Asia Bank stakeholders of Board secretaries, Bank and Group Insurance financial controllers, risks management and Investments Operation 
  -  Drive capital efficiency initiatives through a granular analysis of the drivers of economic performance and capital requirements in the key insurances entities and support regulatory projects (i.e.new RBC regimes in Hong Kong and Singapore, C-Ross2 in China) 
  -  Support the definition of the Capital and Liquidity management frameworks, including the implementation of these frameworks within the insurance entities 
  -  Support effective strategy formulation and buy-in from key stakeholders both within Group Insurance and across the Bank - at global, regional and local levels 
  -  Provide support for key management committees (local ALCO, Group ALCM Forum), acting as liaison, making recommendations & supporting initiatives as required 
  -  Provide advice, guidance, and challenge on the control environment of capital performance measurement and reporting 
  
   Requirements   -  Senior experience in capital management in life insurance field with knowledge in IFRS17 and statutory solvency regime 
  -  Strong financial background - including in-depth understanding of financial results and capital stack management actions 
  -  Commercial awareness and a high degree of credibility with senior management 
  -  Strong communication and influencing skills and the ability to work effectively across matrix reporting lines 
  -  Ability to work to tight deadlines and thrive in a fast changing, results driven environment 
  -  Strong influencing, communication and leadership skills and a proven ability to participate to group-wide processes and work with international and virtual teams 
  -  Expert understanding of the life insurance industry and insurance regulatory requirements 
  -  Experience in corporate governance, company law and accounting policy/practice
