Role Overview:
My client is seeking an experienced Cash Equity Sales professional to join our team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will focus on China A-shares and Hong Kong-listed equities, servicing hedge fund clients across the region. This is a senior-level role requiring strong product knowledge, client relationship management skills, and the ability to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with hedge fund clients, providing timely market insights and trade ideas.
- Drive sales of China A-shares and Hong Kong equities, leveraging deep market knowledge and research resources.
- Collaborate closely with research, trading, and corporate access teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand wallet share with existing clients.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 6+ years in cash equity sales, with a proven track record of servicing hedge funds.
- Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of China A-shares and Hong Kong equities, including market structure and trading mechanisms.
- Language: Fluent Mandarin (spoken and written) is essential; English proficiency required.
- Client Coverage: Demonstrated experience covering hedge funds and driving revenue growth.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Existing network of hedge fund clients in Asia.
- Familiarity with corporate access and event-driven strategies.
- CFA or other relevant certifications are a plus.
