Job Title: Legal Counsel (AI, Virtual / Digital Assets businesses)

Company Overview:
Our client is looking for a proactive and seasoned Legal Counsel to enhance their in-house legal team. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in commercial contracts, corporate litigation, and civil law and have worked on banking/ finance or fintech projects.
In this role, you will provide guidance on daily legal matters, facilitate dispute resolution, manage legal risks, and collaborate with external counsel when necessary. This opportunity is perfect for someone with a commercial mindset who aspires to grow within a dynamic fintech or fast-paced business landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on a range of commercial, civil, and operational matters, balancing risk and business objectives.
- Manage and coordinate litigation, dispute resolution, and legal correspondence (e.g. demand letters, settlements, pre-action strategies).
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and partnership documents.
- Support regulatory and compliance matters in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Liaise with external counsel to ensure efficient handling of legal matters, litigation cases, and documentation.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to the companys business across various jurisdictions.
- Assist with internal governance, record-keeping, and contract management processes.
- Provide general legal support to business teams on strategic initiatives, operational risks, and legal documentation.
Requirements:
- Degree in Law and qualified to practice in a common law jurisdiction.
- 5–10 years PQE, with strong grounding in civil and commercial law, and hands-on experience in corporate litigation or dispute resolution.
- Experience in both law firm and in-house environments preferred, but Crypto / Virtual Asset is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently on a broad range of legal issues and manage external counsel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Mandarin is required

- Strong sense of accountability, professionalism, and commercial judgment.
