JOB RESPONSIBILITY As VP - Transactions Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the bank's transactional activities across Asia. Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on a broad range of corporate and investment banking transactions, including structured finance, capital markets, and syndicated lending.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal documentation in collaboration with front office, risk, and compliance teams.
- Managing external counsel relationships and ensuring legal advice aligns with internal risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
- Providing strategic legal guidance on cross-border matters and regulatory developments impacting transactional execution.
- Supporting internal governance initiatives and contributing to legal risk management frameworks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS - Hong Kong/New York qualified lawyer with 7-10 years of post-qualification experience, ideally gained from a top-tier law firm and/or in-house at a global bank.
- Strong expertise in transactional banking matters, particularly in structured finance, DCM, or syndicated lending.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Fluency in English required.
