Our client is a well-established & expanding Foreign Corporate & Private Bank in Hong Kong. They are currently looking for an System/ Data Analyst to expand their business capacity in Hong Kong in order to strengthen their AML & internal control capability.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with AML department to ensure the Transaction Monitoring, customer risk assessment, and list screening systems are functioning as designed
- Analyse AML & transaction monitoring data from multiple sources (e.g., SQL databases, web analytics) and provide report to AML function
- Identify & report trends, patterns, correlations, and anomalie
- Develop and maintain key datasets and models to support ongoing AML reporting
- Formulate, build & maintain automated dashboards and reporting tools (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide meaningful insight for AML department
- Produce concise & clear reporting on complex analytical findings to provide valuable insights to business stakeholders
- Coordinate with HQ IT & data analytics team to product government reports
Requirements
- Degree or above
- 5 years + Data analyst role in Banking environment
- Prior experience in AML/ Corporate Governance/ Compliance would be highly preferable
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Good experience & knowledge in statistical concepts (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression, distributions)
- Experience & knowledge with NICE Actimize would be an advantage
- Programming language for data analysis (e.g., Python with Pandas, R) and familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data warehousing concepts would be highly preferable
- Advance Excel & knowledge of advanced analytics techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, clustering,) would also be highly preferable
