Our client is one of the major international banks and a leading arranger of specialized financial products worldwide.
Their IT department is currently seeking a Head of Technology to lead infrastructure, governance, and IT service management functions across regional operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Technology & Services Group, including Infrastructure & Network, Project & Infra Governance, and IT Service Management teams.
- Define and execute technology strategies for infrastructure and service delivery aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee governance of projects and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with HKMA and internal standards.
- Drive transformation initiatives with an agile mindset to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
- Manage regional stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor for technology decisions impacting corporate and investment banking operations.
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance of IT systems and services.
- Prioritize projects and allocate resources based on strategic goals and business needs.
- Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and support staff development through training and mentoring.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to maintain competitive advantage.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Over 15 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with strong exposure to infrastructure and project governance.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate or investment banking technology environments.
- Proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary teams and large-scale transformation projects.
- Professional certifications: CISA, CISM, CISSP, HKMA ECF-C recognized certificate; preferably CCNA/CCNP, ITIL, PMP.
- Regional exposure with strong stakeholder management skills across multiple geographies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organized, independent, and detail-oriented.
