Risk Officer - 12 Month Contract

A reputable financial institution is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Contract Officer / Assistant to support its Risk Management function. This is a 12-month contract role based in Hong Kong, offering exposure to a broad range of risk-related activities across operational, credit, market, and liquidity risk domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal control inspections to identify irregularities, document findings, and assist in coordinating follow-up actions.
  • Provide operational support to front office and market risk teams, including handling voice recording records.
  • Assist with system security tasks such as daily checks, access setup, and monthly user ID verification.
  • Manage records and inventory for SWIFT tokens, mobile storage media, and corporate mobile devices; support periodic reviews of remittance operations.
  • Compile daily market summaries and analysis to support risk and front office teams.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports, including committee documentation and other assigned tasks.

Requirements:

  • University degree holder in a relevant field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in middle or back office roles within financial institutions; exposure to risk control is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite of applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with corporate banking products, trade finance, payments, and treasury operations is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
