Execution Trader (Hedge Fund - Event Driven)

Job Responsibilities

• Execute trades primarily in equities, including IPOs and equity capital market (ECM) instructions from Portfolio Managers.
• Monitor market trends and adjust trading strategies promptly to manage risk while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships with counterparties in Hong Kong and internationally.
• Prepare transaction reports and provide middle-office trading support, along with market analysis, to the investment team.
• Participate in team training and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen the teams capabilities in international market trading.

Job Requirements

• 4-8 years of trading experience gained from hedge funds or mutual funds
• Proficiency in Python with demonstrated experience using it to enhance trading workflows.
• Excellent proficiency in English, with near-native fluency.
• Proven experience in overseas asset trading, with knowledge of international financial regulations, transaction processes, and risk management.
• Strong logical thinking, organizational, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn independently and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
