Your new company Our client is a technology company focusing their development on tech products and online/ mobile games. They are currently seeking an experienced regulatory compliance professional to be part of their growing business.
Your new role - Advising on regulations applicable to the Company's business, projects and products
- Handling a wide range of legal documents, including, but not limited to, technology licence agreements, privacy policies and regulatory advisory
- Researching laws and regulations in Hong Kong or other possible regions where the product will be launched, and managing legal risks with suggestions provided timely
- Coordinating and communicating with management and regulatory bodies outside the business
- Developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures that ensure the organisation complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conducting KYC / AML risk assessments and developing strategies and plans to mitigate those risks.
- Monitoring compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards, and identifies areas of non-compliance.
- Providing training and education to employees on compliance-related issues, such as anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and data privacy.
- Providing assistance on related regulatory issues within the business and working on ad hoc tasks when necessary
What you'll need to succeed - HK qualified lawyer (preferred) with 3 to 6 years PQE
- International firm experience preferred
- Knowledge of the business operations of customers such as Money Services Businesses, casinos, NGOs, cryptocurrency-related businesses and other higher-risk entities
- Substantial experience in handling regulatory or compliance matters
- Forward-thinking and detail-minded character
- Proficient in Chinese and English
