The Role
VP/ED, Fixed Income Sales, IBD
Key Accountabilities
- Proactively develop and maintain relationships with bond investor clients, including but not limited to domestic Chinese, Hong Kong, and international commercial banks, funds, insurance companies, asset managers, securities firms, and private equity firms;
- Execute primary bond distribution and sales;
- Manage the onboarding of new institutional investor accounts and maintain existing accounts;
- Organize and host client events, including research meetings, deal roadshows, non-deal roadshows, and corporate access events;
- Provide general support for the sales team's daily operations;
- Contribute directly to the revenue and profit growth of the Fixed Income Sales business;
- Such other tasks assigned by team leader from time to time.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or above;
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in fixed income sales, with strong client acquisition skills and an existing client base is highly preferred;
- Candidates with over 2 years of full time working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is considered as an advantage;
- Demonstrated cross-marketing capabilities with experience covering investors of various types and investment preferences;
- With existing client relationships in Convertible Bonds (CB), Dim Sum Bonds, and/or the Southbound Bond Connect scheme will be given priority;
- Excellent team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
