Transformation
Hang Seng's Transformation Services function is a team of professionals driving the Bank's strategic priorities and managing transformation initiatives across various lines of business and functions for our Hong Kong, China and Macau business.
As the Bank's transformation specialist, the key focuses of the role is: (1) becoming the thought leader of new business/operating model that brings the bank into the future of banking (2) designing the right path to success with unflinching focus on customer centricity; and (3) managing flagship and large scale programmes/ projects with executional excellence, to foster reputation as Businesses' go-to partner to drive changes.
Should you join our Transformation function, you will be providing professional services to the Bank's management for their transformation needs, partnering with stakeholders to design sound solutions to resolve problems, and managing complex projects to implement transformative solutions. In your role, you will communicate effectively with businesses/ functions across the bank and connect front-office parties with various functions such as our technology and operations teams.
The team proactively drives the innovative culture across the Bank and connect the Bank to the dynamic external Fintech world to continue push the innovation frontier to stay competitive. Industry best practices such as design thinking and agile are adopted in our transformation process to deliver best in class and customer centric solutions in a timely manner.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Head of Transformation (COO Office), reporting to Chief Operating Officer.

Principal responsibilities
  • Formulate and drive strategic planning and make complex decisions to support the Group and HASE's objectives
  • Establish objectives, scorecards, and review mechanisms for the HASE Transformation team to ensure alignment with strategic goals
  • Develop and implement long- and short-term plans for the business/function, focusing on resource, cost, and programme management in line with the Global and HASE Transformation strategy.
  • Enhance change management skills within the function and collaborate with leadership and delivery partners to identify opportunities for demand generation.
  • Engage stakeholders to develop buy-in for risk mitigation and contingency plans, ensuring accountability for benefits realization
  • Work closely with delivery partners on planning and design, managing dependencies, supporting executive level in the change, and ensuring sufficient support for global and HASE programmes
Requirements
  • Good knowledge and experience in retail and commercial banking operations and rolling out regulatory programmes .
  • Proven experience of positive, challenging interactions with Senior Executives across the group.
  • Proven ability in working across multi-disciplinary and multi-culturally diverse work environments.
  • Proven track record of driving change through innovation and automation
  • Strong analytical background and proven ability in analytical rigor
  • Previous working experience in banking technology would be an advantage
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively across the Group levels.
  • Ability to leverage resources available to achieve Global Transformation and business / function goals.
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
  • Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
