Our client is looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our leadership team. As the COO, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all business functions. You will play a key role in shaping and executing the companys strategic direction, managing operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance, particularly in the context of the SFC licences we hold (Types 1, 4, and 9).
Responsibilities
- Lead the operational strategy of the firm to drive growth, efficiency, and profitability while ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.
- Manage all aspects of the firm's operations, including trading, compliance, risk management, finance, legal, HR, and client services.
- Work closely with the executive team to develop and execute business strategies, including expansion plans, market positioning, and client acquisition.
- Develop and implement best practices for operations, risk management, compliance, internal controls, and third-party relationships.
- Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and risks, and implement corrective measures.
- Manage the operational budget and resource allocation, ensuring optimal use of company resources.
- Oversee technology and infrastructure improvements to ensure the firm remains at the forefront of industry innovations.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the operational team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
- Report directly to the CEO and board of directors on business performance, strategic initiatives, and key operational metrics.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion in all communications.
The ideal candidate will be a responsible office with Type 1,4 or 9 licences, 10 years experience in operations within Private Wealth Management and a minimum of 3 years as a COO.
