Settlement- Senior Manager
Responsibilities:
-
- Responsible for daily securities settlement processing, fully covering settlement procedures, US markets, Future and OTC products.
- Manage settlement for OTC markets (bonds, notes, US stocks) and HK markets, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Handle physical and CCASS settlements, including HKEx IPOs, placements, and related reporting.
- Oversee day-end procedures, daily stock reconciliation, corporate actions, and unsettled deals.
- Responsible for account opening and updating client and stock master records.
- Participate in system development projects, particularly during user requirement collection.
- Perform UAT testing for system upgrades and deployments.
- Handle client fund/stocks deposits or withdrawals, corporate actions, settlement instructions, and EIPOs.
- Perform bank-in procedures and ensure timely deposit of funds.
- Prepare and dispatch correspondence, including physical mail and documentation.
- Execute settlement administrative duties, such as data input, filing, report printing, etc.
- Liaise with internal departments and external parties to ensure smooth settlement operations.
- Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
- Undertake other ad-hoc assignments as needed.
Requirements:

- Degree holder preferred; other qualifications with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in settlement operations or back-office support in financial institutions.
- Familiarity with banking procedures and securities settlement processes.
- Solid experience in settlement is required; exposure to international market settlement is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Chinese work processing).
- Good knowledge of SFC and HKEx requirements; awareness of global regulatory standards is preferred.
- Capable of participating in project initiatives and UAT as assigned.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good risk awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage ad-hoc tasks independently.
- Good command of English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage.
- Self-motivated and well-organized.
