Operations Associate - Hedgefund

Trade Support

• Provide daily support for trading activities from Japan market open to close.
• Work with traders to resolve P&L, trade booking, and pricing issues quickly. Coordinate with service providers (Enfusion, Linedata, MSFS, Prime Brokers).
• Learn and use Enfusion for tasks like instrument setup.
• Monitor stock borrow rates to optimize financing.

Operations & Accounting

• Handle daily fund operations: trade capture, settlements, corporate actions, reconciliations, and fee payments.
• Assist with fund accounting: valuations, NAV calculations, fees, hedging, margin summaries, and performance estimates.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Support audits and regulatory filings.
• Manage fund flows (subscriptions, redemptions, transfers) with administrators and clients.
• Communicate with brokers, custodians, and administrators to resolve operational issues.
• Prepare position reporting with Compliance Manager.
• Improve processes to increase efficiency and adopt best practices.
• Support special projects like investor requests, system upgrades, automation, and fund launches.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience (fund operations, finance, audit, or administration preferred).
• Knowledge of trade operations and fund accounting.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with EMS/OMS/PMS systems.
• English required; Japanese is a plus.
