Role Overview Our client is a well known insurance company, seeking a dynamic Business Analyst to drive digital transformation and system enhancement initiatives, with a strong focus on agency distribution and portal capabilities. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to streamline operations, improve user experiences, and support strategic growth across life insurance distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for digital projects and system upgrades, particularly those impacting agency distribution and portal functionalities.
- Lead workshops and meetings to elicit insights, align expectations, and define business needs across distribution, operations, and technology teams.
- Assess and map existing ("As-is") business processes, and design optimized future-state ("To-be") workflows to enhance efficiency and support scalable solutions.
- Convert business requirements into structured deliverables such as Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, User Stories, and Process Flow Diagrams.
- Perform data analysis to support strategic decisions, especially around agency performance, portal engagement, and distribution effectiveness.
- Develop and execute comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, ensuring solutions meet quality standards and business objectives.
- Oversee UAT activities including test coordination, defect tracking, and progress reporting to stakeholders.
- Track project milestones and communicate updates on timelines, risks, and issues to relevant parties.
- Produce and maintain user documentation, training guides, and onboarding materials to support successful implementation and adoption of agency systems and portals.
Qualifications - 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the life insurance industry, ideally in operations, transformation, or distribution functions.
- Proven track record in projects involving agency management, distribution platforms, CRM systems, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of agency lifecycle processes including recruitment, onboarding, licensing, performance tracking, and incentive management.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.
- Solid grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with hands-on experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office for documentation and project tracking.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-driven and results-oriented, with a passion for innovation and digital enablement in insurance distribution.
- Experience in life insurance product design and development is an advantage.
