Our client, a global quantitative fund, is actively seeking a junior-mid level Quantitative Developer join their expanding team in Hong Kong. As a Quant Developer, you will assist in the development and enhancement of quantitative models and trading strategies. Your primary focus will be on programming in Python, working closely with quantitative analysts and researchers to implement and optimize models in a production environment.

The role:

  • Collaborate with quantitative researchers to implement and enhance predictive models and algorithms using Python.
  • Conduct data analysis and preprocessing to prepare datasets for modeling and backtesting, ensuring data integrity and quality.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while contributing to our codebase, including libraries and tools used in quantitative research.
  • Assist in back testing trading strategies and quantitative models, ensuring robust validation and performance analysis.
  • Identify and address bottlenecks in existing code and algorithms, optimizing for speed and efficiency.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quantitative analysts, portfolio managers, and IT specialists to support the development of trading systems.

What you offer:

  • Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy.
  • Basic understanding of quantitative finance concepts, statistical analysis, and algorithmic trading strategies.
  • Experience with SQL and data manipulation in relational databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members across various functions.
