A well-established international financial services firm is seeking a Responsible Officer licensed for SFC Type 9 regulated activities, with proven experience in virtual asset trading and management. This is a full-time, senior leadership opportunity with a competitive remuneration package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the firm's SFC-regulated activities across Type 9 & virtual assets fund license initiatives and management
- Oversee application and ongoing compliance for the companys virtual asset management license and related activities.
- Formulate and maintain company policy, operating manuals, and risk management controls to align with SFC and virtual asset regulatory requirements.
- Supervise trading activities and conduct regular compliance reviews, risk assessments, and internal training.
- Advise senior management on regulatory trends, business strategy, and operational efficiency, especially as they relate to the virtual asset market.
- Collaborate with external parties and regulatory bodies to enhance compliance, governance, and the market profile of the firm.
Requirements:
- Current SFC Responsible Officer (RO) status for Type 9
- Demonstrable hands-on experience in virtual asset management , trading, platform operations, or successful SFC license uplift/applications related to virtual assets.
- Bachelors degree or above in Finance, Economics, Law, Business, or a related discipline.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of an international team.
- Up-to-date knowledge of SFC regulations, including evolving guidance on virtual assets.
- Fluency in English; Cantonese or Mandarin a plus.
