We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a
Financial Analyst, AMH RBWM Business Finance. In this role you will: - Partner with business teams (Head of Wealth & Personal Banking, business performance, customer and propositions, distribution, retail banking, retail wealth, distribution, transformation, digital, business risk and credit control) in Hong Kong to deliver on Group's strategy and commitments to the market
- Actively monitor the business performance with the business teams. Review the Forecast and Plan to ensure performance is predictable and sustainable. Challenge the forward-looking assumptions based on our knowledge of the Hong Kong product & proposition, campaigns, market, competitors, and industry landscape. Highlight any risks and opportunities where they arise
- Identify economic and global trends, perform deep-dive analysis for value hunting and advise on options for business action
- Leverage advanced analytics and technology to improve processes, data quality, controls, commercial insights and productivity. Work closely with stakeholders in Hong Kong to ensure smooth end-to-end process
- Ensure the effective use of investment funding on Group strategic priorities. Review investment proposals and business cases on product, proposition and pricing
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure strong control and oversight of the financial information
- Support strategic implementation of finance change initiatives
To be successful you will need - Analytical, commercial-minded and enjoy working on complicated issues and scenarios
- Experience in developing financial projections, leveraging large data sets and digital tools.
- Proactive, ability to connect the dot, high drive and can-do attitude.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills with a proven ability to engage effectively and confidently with stakeholders
- Experience working across multi-disciplinary and multi-culturally diverse work environments with strong organisational, time management, planning and execution skills
- Knowledge of Hong Kong economics and competitive landscape of financial services, preferably on retail banking and wealth management.
