We are seeking a skilled Business System Analyst to join a dynamic IT Digital Team with our Insurance client. This role focuses on a high-impact project involving the revamp of our Point of Sale (POS) system, alongside enhancements to our mobile app, website, and digital application platforms. As a key contributor, you will bridge business requirements with technical solutions to drive digital transformation, improve user experiences, and streamline insurance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and end-users, to gather, analyze, and document requirements for the POS revamp, mobile app, website, and digital application initiatives.
- Conduct gap analysis between current systems and desired future states, identifying opportunities for efficiency and innovation in insurance workflows.
- Develop detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases to support development and testing phases.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirements elicitation sessions to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Work closely with developers, designers, and QA teams to translate business needs into technical designs and validate solutions.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, and change management to ensure seamless implementation.
- Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and provide regular updates to the IT Digital Team leadership.
Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Business System Analyst, preferably in the insurance industry
- Proven track record in digital projects, including POS systems, mobile apps, websites, and digital application development.
- Strong understanding of insurance processes, such as policy issuance, claims handling, and customer onboarding.
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Visio) and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with user experience (UX) design principles and digital transformation initiatives is a plus.
- Familiarity with integration technologies, APIs, and cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) preferred.
- Fluency in Cantonese and English is required
