Manager, Clearing Operations

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure the efficient operation of clearing activities across various asset classes, including Equities, Fixed Income and OTC products. This includes managing operational risks, swiftly resolving exceptions and contingency issues
• Review and improve policies, rules, procedures, and systems, while streamlining operational processes to support new clearing services and business initiatives through thorough analysis and identification of key issues.
• Plan and oversee the successful execution of project tasks, including gathering user requirements and conducting user acceptance testing.
• Build and sustain strong relationships and partnerships with internal departments, external business counterparts, relevant statutory bodies, and market practitioners. Utilize effective stakeholder management skills to enhance business value.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accountancy, Economics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in clearing operations with at least 4 years in a management role. Experience in fixed income, currency, and OTC operations is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen awareness of operational risks in day-to-day activities.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate thoughts clearly and openly in both written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; knowledge of AI, macros, and automation tools is a plus.
• Availability for shift work, including evening shifts and public holiday support as needed.
