Position Description

This role has a global coverage in providing compensation, benefits and payroll advice and solutions to the broader HR team. Furthermore, it requires the incumbent to work closely various internal and external stakeholders including external payroll/benefits service providers, brokers, insurers, and internally Finance, Legal, Compliance, IT, overseas COOs and administrators. It requires a highly organized, numerate and detail-oriented approach as well as high level of communication skills.

This, like all roles within CLSAs HR team is a hands-on role and will suit someone with a very strong ability to multi-task and deliver seamless, high quality HR related work from an administrative to transactional level. As a member of the HR team, the role requires a sensible, pragmatic, organized, analytical, and collaborative and client focused approach.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Handle the renewal of group insurance plans, local/overseas medical and other benefit-related schemes; liaise with brokers and insurers from preparing census, request for quotation, renewal logistics to invoice management. Ensure the whole process comply with internal policies
  • Work with HR Business Partners and local administrators of overseas countries to ensure consistent benefit practices and arrangements are being deployed
  • Work closely with various stakeholders (trustee, plan advisors, administrators) regarding the administration of the Group Retirement Plan
  • Act as the key point of contact for administration of the benefits in Hong Kong, including providing member updates to brokers, answering employees benefit queries, filing claims, etc.
  • Liaise with service providers and execute wellness activities throughout the year that are in line with the employee wellness agenda
  • Conduct market research and participate in surveys to gain market insights
  • Support the team during the annual bonus and salary review processes, including data checking, scope identification, statement and letter preparation, etc.
  • Support the team in overseeing regional payroll operations and service renewals of the payroll solutions with a focus on APAC
  • Coordinate different aspects with the solution provider and provide advice to overseas administrators to ensure payrolls are processed in a timely, accurately and compliant manner and aligned with the global standards
  • Assist in handling day to day regional payroll related matters
  • Constantly seek for opportunities to improve or streamline the operational processes
  • Provide timely and accurate information and reports as requested
  • Participate in other tasks or projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Degree qualified, ideally HR and/or finance related (full time master degree preferred)
  • 5 years of compensation, benefits and/or payroll experience. Prior regional exposure preferred
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel Formula / Tables / Chart / Xlookup / Mail Merge
  • Experience with Workday and ADP Celergo are advantageous
  • Organized and attention to detail
  • Analytical with good problem solving skills
  • Independent and able to work well under pressure
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Putonghua)
  • Ability to communicate and work with people with diverse background
  • Enthusiastic, proactive attitude and must be a good team player
