Join our asset management client's team as a specialist focused on institutional client onboarding and change management. You will be the key point of contact for ensuring a smooth and compliant client experience, from initial onboarding through ongoing transitions and agreement management. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of KYC/AML processes and a passion for delivering excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end onboarding process for new institutional and wholesale clients, including KYC/AML assessments and account opening.
- Manage all client transition events, including fund launches, changes, and exits, ensuring they are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Oversee the governance of client agreements, including distribution, platform, and investment management agreements (IMAs).
- Act as a primary distribution contact, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Ensure all processes adhere to the firm's risk appetite and regulatory standards, driving continuous improvement.
- Produce management information (MI) and coordinate client change forums to keep all parties aligned.
- Champion a client-centric culture by acting on feedback and leading by example within the team.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in client onboarding, change management, or a similar role within financial services, preferably asset management.
- Solid, hands-on experience conducting KYC/AML assessments for wholesale and institutional clients.
- Basic understanding of Hong Kong Unit Trusts and investor dealing KPIs.
- Highly organised with an analytical mindset and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communicator, confident in chairing meetings, presenting, and building relationships at all levels.
- Proactive team player who can work independently and as part of a matrix structure.
- Holder of an SFC Type 1 license is highly beneficial.
