About the role

Reporting to the department head, you will develop and oversee robust data security strategies to prevent unauthorized access and protect confidential information. Implement and review security policies, controls, and procedures based on regulatory requirements and cross-border frameworks. Lead efforts in risk assessment and vulnerability analysis, ensuring security issues are quickly identified and remediated. Coordinate incident monitoring and reporting, providing detailed analysis on breaches and compliance violations. Support data governance through classification projects and establishing best practices for data quality and integrity. Lastly, collaborate with IT, compliance, and business units to align security initiatives with governance requirements and regulatory standards.

The successful applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a directly related discipline.
  • 4+ years specializing in data security, risk management, or similar roles, ideally within banking or financial services.
  • Having experience with China data regulations will be a major plus
  • Detailed knowledge of security frameworks and regulations including HKMA, PDPO (Personal Data Privacy Ordinance), and mainland China standards
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, able to lead cross-functional teams and deliver training or awareness programs effectively
  • Experience with data classification, control frameworks, risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with data protection laws.
  • Strong background in policy creation, incident response, and technical threat mitigation
  • Outstanding analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)
