Regional HR Business Partner Head - U.S. Bank Location: Hong Kong (with future relocation to the U.S.)

Overview: Our client, a leading U.S. financial institution, is seeking an experienced Regional HR Business Partner Head to lead strategic HR initiatives across Asia and support global alignment. This role requires deep expertise in Hong Kong and Asia markets, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to drive HR strategies that enable business growth in a highly regulated environment. The position offers future relocation to the U.S. for candidates with existing U.S. work authorization.
Key Responsibilities: - Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all HR matters across Asia, ensuring alignment with global HR strategy.
- Lead HR business partnering for regional teams, covering talent management, organizational design, workforce planning, and employee relations.
- Partner with global HR centers of excellence (COEs) to implement programs in compensation, benefits, learning & development, and diversity & inclusion.
- Drive change management initiatives and support cultural integration across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong and other Asian markets.
- Provide insights on regional talent trends and advise on competitive strategies for attraction and retention.
Qualifications: - 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HRBP leadership role within banking or financial services.
- Proven track record of managing HR across Hong Kong and Asia markets; strong understanding of local employment laws and practices.
- Ability to influence and partner with senior executives in a matrixed, global organization.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills; experience in driving HR strategies that impact business performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Must have existing U.S. work authorization (no visa sponsorship available).
Preferred Attributes: - Experience in global HR transformation projects.
- Exposure to U.S. HR practices and ability to bridge cultural and regulatory differences.
- Mandarin or Cantonese language skills are a plus.
