Our Client is a crypto conference/management company, looking for a Commercial Director with 10+ years' of sales management experience, to lead the Sponsorship team. This would involve structuring, hiring, and growing the business. The ideal candidate will be strategic, who can enhance commercial capabilities and drive sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities
1. Commercial Strategy & Leadership

- Develop and execute the commercial growth strategy across sponsorship, partnerships, and new revenue streams.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, strategic collaborations, and vertical expansion.
- Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing commercial team.
- Set annual revenue targets, KPIs, and commercial performance metrics.
2. Partnership Development & Sales

- Oversee end-to-end sponsorship sales cycles—from prospecting to negotiation and contract execution.
- Build and manage senior-level relationships with key clients across crypto, tech, finance, and media etc.
- Develop compelling partnership propositions aligned with companys brand positioning and audience profile.
- Drive client retention and satisfaction through strategic account management and post-event engagement.
3. Operations & Financial Management

- Work closely with production, experience, marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure delivery of commercial commitments.
- Monitor sales pipelines, pricing structures, and revenue forecasting accuracy.
- Optimize sales operations, CRM systems, and reporting frameworks for scalability.
4. Market Intelligence & Brand Growth

- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities within the Web3 ecosystem.
- Represent company at external events and meetings as a brand ambassador.
- Contribute to shaping the broader growth strategy and positioning of company in global markets.
Qualifications

- 10+ years of sales management, company strategy, and growth experience, ideally in the crypto, fintech, or start-up space.
- Demonstrably successful track record in revenue / profit generation.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in structuring, hiring, and growing teams.
- Strategic thinker with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with high-level stakeholders.
