Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage regional compliance strategy, partnering with business leadership to support new service offerings, regulatory changes, and contractual matters.
  • Implement and oversee the Compliance Framework aligned with global standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Develop and execute the Annual Assurance Plan for second-line compliance activities within the region.
  • Provide expert compliance advice on reinsurance transactions, licensing, and complex projects across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Monitor regulatory developments, identify emerging risks, and communicate compliance requirements to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, and Legal teams to ensure effective governance and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee compliance related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and government reporting requirements.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential investments and assess compliance risks for strategic transactions.
  • Ensure timely reporting, documentation, and escalation of compliance findings to senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in compliance processes, policies, and controls across the region.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law; qualified solicitor preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related fields, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong expertise in life insurance, reinsurance, and complex transactions (including M&A).
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance governance in Asia.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills; fluency in English
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong project management capabilities.
