About the Role
Our client are seeking a Vice President/ED to serve as a Multi-Asset Investment Specialist. The role connects our portfolio managers with clients and distribution teams across Asia, representing global multi-asset strategies in the region and showcasing Asia-based strategies to global audiences. The successful candidate will translate investment insights into clear narratives, drive commercialization, and support best-in-class client experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain deep fluency in our multi-asset portfolios, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk budgeting, and macro drivers.
- Communicate positioning, performance, and outlook in a clear, client-centric manner.
- Partner with Client Advisors to present investment process, portfolio updates, and market views to institutional and wholesale clients.
- Address detailed product and market queries; support sales and retention efforts.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers on strategy for Asia ex-Japan, shaping distribution priorities and commercialization plans.
- Provide feedback loops between clients, sales, and investment teams.
- Review and improve RFP/RFI responses, presentations, and internal toolkits.
- Work with distribution channels to set targets and execute tactical campaigns.
- Coordinate with operations, trading, and compliance to implement guidelines and instrument set-up.
- Ensure adherence to controls, disclosures, and client commitments.
- Oversee monthly/quarterly reports, commentaries, and performance materials across funds and mandates.
- Align messaging with PMs, investment specialists, sales, and support functions.
- Partner with product strategy to launch or enhance multi-asset solutions (e.g., outcome-oriented, income, volatility-targeted, sustainable).
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- BA/BS degree with a strong finance or quantitative background (CFA is advantageous but not required).
- Minimum 6-12+ years of experience in asset management or closely related fields, with meaningful exposure to multi-asset products.
- Solution-oriented, consultative mindset with experience engaging sophisticated clients.
- Team player with the ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (including Macros); Bloomberg proficiency.
- Time management and organizational strength; ability to deliver under tight timelines.
