My client is the asset management department of one leading Chinese Insurance company, now is looking for one CEO for HK office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and Execute Investment Strategy: Develop and implement the firm's overall investment strategy and asset allocation plan, aligning with the group's direction and the specific dynamics of the Hong Kong market
- Lead Investment Research & Decision-Making: Direct in-depth research on macro-economics, industry trends, and market dynamics to build a superior investment research framework and provide high-quality support for critical investment decisions
- Oversee Comprehensive Risk Management: Establish and enhance the investment risk management framework, ensuring effective monitoring of market, credit, and liquidity risk, and guaranteeing full compliance with all regulatory and internal control requirements
- Drive Cross-Border & Technology-Enabled Investing: Lead the expansion of cross-border investment opportunities and optimize multi-market, multi-currency asset allocation. Spearhead the integration of advanced technologies (e.g., Big Data, AI, Quant strategies) to enhance investment efficiency and intelligence
- Enhance Market Presence & Stakeholder Relations: Represent the firm to strengthen market channels, build key partnerships, and elevate the company's profile and reputation within the capital markets
- Build and Lead High-Performing Teams: Recruit, mentor, and lead a professional investment and research team. Establish all necessary supporting operational systems to ensure seamless business execution
- Ensure Holistic Business Management: Hold ultimate responsibility for the P&L, operational integrity, and strategic growth of the firm, fulfilling all overarching leadership duties as required by the management team
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in asset management, with a proven track record of direct involvement in portfolio management and investment decision-making
- Demonstrable success in growing AUM through investment performance and product innovation
- Comprehensive understanding of the operational, risk, and compliance requirements for running a regulated asset management firm in Hong Kong, particularly for complex fund structures
- Proven experience as a CEO, CIO with retained responsibility for investment outcomes
- Must be qualified to be an SFC Responsible Officer (RO)
- Holder of relevant SFC licenses (Type 1, 4, and 9 are highly desirable)
