About the job Head of Risk Management (Virtual Assets) - Tech Company
Company Our client is a Tech company that is committed to providing secure, reliable, and easy-to-use crypto trading services to its clients.
Responsibilities - Conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the crypto exchange's operations, and developing appropriate strategies to mitigate them.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to manage risks related to trading, custody, and other operations of the crypto exchange.
- Developing and maintaining a robust internal control system to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Conducting due diligence on new crypto assets and projects to ensure they meet the exchange's risk and compliance standards.
- Monitoring and analyzing market and industry trends, and providing regular risk reports to the management team.
- Coordinating with other teams within the exchange, including legal, compliance, and operations, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to risk management.
- Managing relationships with external vendors and service providers, including security and insurance providers, to ensure adequate risk coverage.
- Participating in industry forums and regulatory discussions to stay abreast of developments and best practices in risk management.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in risk management, preferably in the crypto or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to crypto exchanges and financial services.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
