We are looking for a visionary and execution-driven Head of Product to lead our global product team focused on empowering offline small and medium enterprise merchants (SMEM) across emerging and developed markets. You will own the end-to-end product strategy and delivery of an integrated platform that combines in-store payments (POS & terminals), merchant operations, marketing tools, financial accounts, and credit services, delivered primarily through a next-generation B2B Merchant App.
This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of fintech, mobile product design, payment infrastructure, and AI-powered business automation. You'll shape the future of how millions of physical-world merchants operate, grow, and access financial services - all within the A&I ecosystem and beyond.
- Define the Global Product Vision: Set the long-term strategic direction for the SMEM platform, balancing local market needs with scalable global architecture. Drive roadmap prioritization across payment, operation, marketing, and financial service domains.
- Lead a Multi-Disciplinary Product Team: Manage and mentor a team of product managers specializing in offline payments, terminal software, merchant App, financial products, and AI-driven automation. Foster a culture of user-centricity, data rigor, and rapid experimentation.
- Drive Deep Integration Across Stacks: Orchestrate cross-functional alignment between hardware (POS/terminals), payment processing (EMV, acquirer systems, routing), security (PCI P2PE, HSM), financial products (accounts, credit), and AI teams to deliver seamless end-to-end experiences.
- Ensure Technical & Regulatory Excellence: Oversee compliance with global standards including EMV L3, ISO 8583, PCI DSS, and regional financial regulations. Work closely with certification bodies, terminal vendors, and risk teams to ensure robustness and scalability.
- Be Obsessed with Merchant Needs: Lead field research, usability testing, and feedback loops with real-world merchants - especially non-tech-savvy users in diverse geographies. Translate pain points into simple, intelligent solutions powered by AI and automation.
- Deliver Measurable Business Impact: Define KPIs across PSR (Payment Success Rate), time-to-onboard, transaction cost reduction, active usage, credit adoption, and merchant retention. Use data to continuously optimize product performance.
- Collaborate Globally: Partner with regional GTM teams, partners, and ecosystem players to tailor offerings while maintaining core platform consistency. Champion localization without fragmentation.
Job Requirement
- 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years leading cross-functional product teams in fintech, payments, SaaS, or digital commerce platforms.
- Proven track record in one or more of the following areas:
- - In-store payment systems (EMV, POS software, terminal management, acquirer integration)
- - B2B/B2B2C merchant-facing apps or SaaS platforms
- - Financial services for SMEs (e.g., business accounts, working capital loans, credit scoring)
- Strong technical fluency: understanding of payment flows, ISO 8583, HSM, PCI P2PE, EMV L3 certification process, API design, and mobile App architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-track product initiatives involving hardware, software, security, and financial regulation.
- Deep empathy for offline merchants - especially those with limited tech literacy. Experience conducting field research or usability studies with SMBs is highly valued.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills; comfortable defining metrics, running A/B tests, and using insights to pivot strategy.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in both English and Chinese. Ability to present clearly to senior executives and technical teams alike.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
