Associate - Investment Funds (2-4 PQE) Department: Funds

Description As an Associate in Hong Kong's Investment Funds team, you will provide technically sound Cayman and BVI legal advice on a range of investment fund issues and products including hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, project funds and digital assets funds. The team also covers Cayman Islands and BVI regulatory aspects relating to asset management and investment funds. You will also be expected to build and maintain productive working relationships with clients and intermediaries.
Key Responsibilities - Responsible for producing technically sound legal work and technical advice to clients.
- Responsible for providing good client care and matter management.
- Responsible for building and maintaining productive working relationships with clients and intermediaries.
- Responsible for the preparation of fee matter estimates and quotations.
- Over time, developing a client base which regards you as their trusted advisor.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise - 2-4 years post-qualification experience, ideally in the funds area but not an absolute for the right candidate - we will also consider candidates with corporate and commercial experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Reliable and able to work autonomously as part of the team.
- Interested in the investment funds space.
- Fluent spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin is a must.
