About the job Head of Operations (VATP of a Chinese Fintech)
Responsibilities - Oversee virtual asset transaction clearing processes to ensure they are completed timely and accurately. Confirm trade details and payments are correct. Reconcile and investigate discrepacies with relevant parties.
- Work closely with custodian to ensure the safekeeping of client assets and the efficient clearing and settlement of transactions.
- Work closely with Compliance Department and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, collaborating with legal and compliance teams to maintain a secure and compliant platform.
- Collaborate with customer support teams to ensure timely resolution of user inquiries and issues, maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- May need to generate and analyze operational performance reports, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions and improvements.
Requirements - Have bachelors degree(s) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics and Law or a related field but preference with degree(s) in Engineering subjects (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, etc).
- At least 6 years of work experience in Operations, including 2 years of experience working for a virtual asset trading platform. Experience in traditional securities/brokerage firms and banks will also be considered.
- Multi-tasking; Able to learn, adapt and act agilely; Aptitude in problem-solving; Excellent interpersonal skills; Good communication skills; Being able to work under tight deadlines and pressure; Proactive, willing to learn and detail-oriented.
- Must be proficient in both Mandarin (Chinese) and English (in all 4 aspects: reading, writing, speaking and listening).
