CCO - Hong Kong Stablecoin Issuer Role Roles & Responsibilities: - Help formulate the strategy with regulator
- Co-lead the discussion with the regulator along with the founder
- Act as advisor to the management team on general compliance, regulatory, financial crime, AML and KYC
- Monitor regulatory changes and industry developments to ensure compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations
- Implement, work with internal teams and external consultants to review policies, standard operating procedures, systems implementation, and internal controls for regulatory compliance programs to ensure licensing commitments and obligations are fulfilled.
- Assist on the selection of compliance IT vendors for the purpose of AML and KYC compliance and KYT etc.
- Design and deliver staff training and internal briefings to ensure that the Company and its staff comply with applicable legislations, topics may include but not limited to regulatory changes/developments and their impact on their Company.
- Recruit, train, supervise or participate in staffing decisions for the compliance team
Requirements: - Having a bachelors degree in Law would be preferred. Degree(s) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or Engineer related subjects be considered too.
- Fluent in English and proficient in mandarin will be a nice to have
- At least 8 years of experience, and more than 2 years of work experience in digital assets, Web3.0, payment, banking related environment be preferred
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements
- Having prior legal experience be a nice to have
- Strong interest and familiar with blockchain and payment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Role will be based out of Hong Kong
