About the job Operations Risk Officer - VATP
Company The company is applying for the virtual assets trading platform license with the SFC.
Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and analyze operations to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the exchanges processes and systems
- Assist in developing and implementing risk management policies and procedures to mitigate identified risks
- Collaborate with various departments (e.g., IT, Compliance, Operations) to ensure risk mitigation strategies are integrated into daily operations
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies
- Prepare and present risk reports to the Risk Management team and senior management, highlighting findings and recommendations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in technology that could affect the exchanges risk profile
- Participate in the development and execution of business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Assist in the investigation of any operational incidents or breaches and contribute to the development of corrective action plans
Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong interest in cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and financial markets
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are a plus
