Our client, a well-established investment bank, is looking to hire an IT System Developer in Hong Kong. The role will focus on middle office systems.
Job Responsibilities - Develop and maintain the bank's middle office systems, ensuring adherence to functional requirements through rigorous testing.
- Create and document essential development materials, including test plans and outcomes to support system functionality.
- Collaborate with first-level support teams to provide second-line assistance and work alongside other IT departments to troubleshoot technical issues, reporting insights to management.
- Conduct feasibility assessments and impact analyses for potential system solutions, offering clear recommendations for business decisions.
- Provide early shift support as needed to ensure seamless system operations.
Job Requirements - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficient in C#, .NET, Excel VBA, SQL, and SSIS, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with Shell, Python, Java, ASP, Linux, Omgeo CTM, ULBridge, and Fidessa is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development.
- Experience in the Investment Banking or Securities Trading sectors, particularly in the development and support of trading applications, would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication abilities in both English and Chinese, and the capacity to work well independently and as part of a team.
