- Our client is a global financial infrastructure platform for institutions. They provide digital assets infrastructure for financial services institutions, from large banks to Fintechs.
- They are seeking an experienced Engineering Director to provide leadership to their technology teams & accelerate their technology development cycle. You will oversee the development and shipping of multiple blockchain-based enterprise products including their blockchain in-a-box offering and no code smart contract platforms - both as an individual contributor and in a managerial capacity.
- Their ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader with blockchain experience, who can architect and build the next generation of blockchain-based applications for the financial services industry.
Role and Responsibilities
- Work both as an independent contributor and provide leadership to the team.
- Contribute to the development of blockchain-based technologies - smart contracts & dApps on EVM Blockchain networks by designing, implementing, and refining smart contracts (primarily on Solidity).
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Ethereum & other protocols work (smart contract codebase) etc.
- Take ownership of shipping products. Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements for mission-critical systems and bring solutions to life.
- Participate in implementing features, addressing issues, improving performance, driving product architecture, and conducting code reviews.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of engineers to create an environment that fosters growth and optimal performance. Conduct regular 1:1s to provide clear feedback on performance.
- Provide guidance to the team to make technical decisions collaboratively or make the final decision as needed.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 2 years in leadership roles. Experience of working in an early-stage team building a product from scratch is a big plus.
- A deep understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine; prior experience deploying complex smart contract systems to the EVM networks.
- Hands-on experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and Node.js. Experience/ understanding of Solidity is required.
- Database experience with SQL, NoSQL, and ETL Pipelines.
- Experienced in working with cloud-based microservices and serverless architecture, cloud infrastructure resource management, and cost optimization.
- Experienced in using infrastructure management tools such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and others.
- Experienced in test automation and leveraging tools like Selenium and Jenkins.
- Past experience of working on blockchains/ crypto exchanges/ decentralized finance projects is a big plus.
