We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as
Director, Custody Product Design Role Purpose The Custody Design function sit within HSBC Custody Product and is responsible for the end-to-end product vision, roadmap and client experience across Global Custody and Sub Custody platforms.
The role holder will own the end-to-end product design, governance and roadmap for Corporate Actions whilst partnering with Operations, Technology and Commercial Teams.
Principle Responsibilities - Run product design councils for Custody Asset Services approving new features or changes
- Define and execute multi-year vision and roadmaps for Custody Asset Services
- Act as the global product authority for Corporate Actions
- Build and maintain consensus with Senior Stakeholders in a highly matrixed, geographically dispersed organization
- Drive innovation and delivery across Custody Asset Services
- Lead, mentor and grow a high performing team across different geographical locations
- Attend industry forums where required
Management of Risk - Is aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and acts in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations for clients globally
Observation of Internal Controls - Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
- Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy
Experience, Skills & Qualifications - Proven track record in a product management role, preferably within a Custodian
- Deep expertise in Corporate Action flows including Income Processing & voluntary processing
- Strong command of broader Custody workflows, settlement, safekeeping, lending & collateral
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills across different teams including Operations & Technology
- Experience running governance forums and securing alignment in matrixed environment
- Flexibility in approach, and the ability to show initiative and respond quickly to changing situations.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and to turn complex operational constraints into simple visuals/designs
- Strong communicator who can distill complexity to different groups
