About the Role
The role The Co-Op Internship is up to a year-long programme which offers an excellent entry point into the Investment Management industry. As a Co-Op Intern, you will be provided with the unique opportunity to learn and acquire firm knowledge and be part of a team responsible for proxy vote and engagement reporting, developing and executing corporate access events across APAC. This will include support proxy vote, helping prepare engagement reports, on and off-site meetings, site visits, conference calls, roadshows, investment conferences and bespoke field trips. You will engage with stewardship team and Corporate Access team in terms of data analysis and tracking tool design. You will also work with investors, proactively suggest agendas, itineraries and respond to company queries and questions where applicable.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Assist in running data analysis reports and building tools for tracking investment activities:
- Help prepare data analysis reports on Corporate Access and Stewardship by using Power BI and Tableau
- Help build different tools to serve the team's business needs
Assist to centralize and coordinate all corporate access activity across APAC
- Work closely with sell-side counterparts, brokers and third-party vendors to manage corporate access activity inclusive but not limited to research trips and meeting coordination.
- Problem solve and liaise with our research providers to create the best possible conference schedules for our investment professionals.
- Help develop and utilize technology to enhance management of the corporate access process
- Work closely with global counterparts in other geographical locations to provide corporate access updates and opportunities
- Engage with all investment professionals across APAC to gain understanding of their requirements
- Provide analysis of corporate access consumption data globally and within APAC
- Identify improvement opportunities under the current processes and procedures and provide the team with suggestions.
QUALIFICATIONS - Must be an undergraduate or master's degree student eligible for a year-long industrial placement starting in March/April 2026 with an interest in a career within investment management.
- Excellent data analysis skills (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and coding skills (Python or C++)
- Familiar with different AI tools and be creative about user cases
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with proficiency in one of the Asian languages (Mandarin Chinese or Japanese) preferred
- Previous administration and project management experience is an advantage.
- A self-starter who can think strategically and has a desire to learn.
- Strong service attitude and the ability to develop relationships with investment professionals to understand and empathize with their needs as investors.
- Highly motivated and proactive individual capable of working on their own initiative under fast paced and pressurized environment.
- High attention to detail and consistent follow-through; accuracy with all work is essential.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task as needed, being a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and databases are an advantage.
