The Opportunity The firm is seeking an Associate (12-month contract) to join its Asia Investment Operations team , focusing on investment performance analytics and client reporting . This role is ideal for professionals with solid experience in performance measurement and attribution who enjoy working in a fast-paced, client-focused asset management environment.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare routine and ad-hoc investment performance and analytics reports for both external clients and internal stakeholders
- Conduct performance attribution and contribution analysis across equity, fixed income, and multi-asset portfolios to explain active returns
- Deliver daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly client reports , coordinating inputs from multiple systems and teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Respond to requests for performance, risk, and portfolio data from clients, sales teams, marketing, and senior management
- Support the maintenance of performance composites in line with GIPS standards , including assistance with annual external verification
- Handle ad-hoc client queries , including RFPs and DDQs
- Participate in process improvement, automation initiatives, and system implementation projects
Candidate Profile - 5+ years of relevant experience in performance analytics, quantitative analysis, or fund operations within an asset manager or fund house
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of performance calculation methodologies , attribution analysis, risk analytics, and quantitative concepts (GIPS knowledge preferred)
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Excel ; experience with Bloomberg PORT+, FactSet, or BlackRock Aladdin is an advantage
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication skills with good command of English ; Chinese language skills are highly desirable
