Responsibilities: - Lead and support senior bankers in credit origination activities, encompassing the preparation and review of comprehensive credit memos for new and existing TMT clients across Hong Kong and China. This includes corporate lending, derivatives hedging, trade finance, and related financial solutions and advisory.
- Conduct thorough creditworthiness assessments of counterparties through insightful industry and business analysis, robust risk grading, precise financial modeling, and stress testing.
- Proactively identify and evaluate key historical and prospective credit and non-credit risks associated with client portfolios.
- Perform in-depth financial statement analysis, including ratio analysis, to accurately assess credit quality and manage portfolio risk. Oversee and ensure timely submission processes.
- Monitor and manage the lending and derivative exposure portfolio, providing detailed credit and exposure analysis for credit forums.
- Drive wallet share growth within the existing client portfolio and actively cultivate new client relationships, aligning with target market criteria and a rigorous due diligence process.
- Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory and risk compliance standards.
- Continuously monitor ongoing credit developments and ensure compliance with all credit conditions and covenants.
- Provide mentorship and training to team members on credit memo preparation and navigation of regulatory requirements.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in relationship management and credit analysis within a corporate or commercial banking environment.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of commercial banking products and services, with a particular emphasis on HK-China cross-border RMB products.
- Exceptional credit analysis and risk management capabilities.
- Proven ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership qualities coupled with effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
- Experience with supply chain finance and acquisition finance (MBO/LBO) transactions is highly preferred
