About the team

Treasury Operation Section is responsible for settlement operations of Treasury/Market, Derivatives/Collateral, Securities/Investment transactions and monitoring the RTGS Intra-day Liquidity.

The Derivatives Team is to handle mainly the rate swap settlement, including the Central Clearing Counterparty for OTC derivatives, Interest Rate Futures & Options. The team is required to real time monitor the CMU account for related settlement in RTGS currencies.

Role requirements

  • To handle full set of operations and settlements of treasury derivatives products and related operational support.
  • To participate in system implementation and projects.
  • To keep the team operation efficient and effective.
  • To perform CMU operation for RTGS intra-day liquidity management.

Essential Functions

  • To perform settlement operation for derivatives trades (Interest Rate Swap, Cross Currency Swap, Currency Options, Futures, Cap/Floor & etc.);
  • Administrate the settlement related activities like administration of trade counterpart records, AML processing, trades reconciliation, nostro accounts funds movement reporting, trade confirmations tracing, trade repository reporting, etc.,
  • Administrate and monitor the daily RTGS intra-day liquidity requirements,
  • Participate in the Sections business development & operation enhancement projects

Competencies

  • Makes practical scheduling and time management for his/her team to complete deals/tasks before deadline;
  • Respects for, and commits to, high standards of business conduct and integrity in promoting deals/projects, and conducting operations/reporting, etc.

Work experience, education and skills

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking or related discipline;
  • 2 years relevant settlement experience in derivatives (interest rate swap, currency swap, currency option & etc.) and structured products;
  • Experience of new product and system implementation is an asset.
  • Good experience in RTGS intra-day liquidity control operation
  • Good interpersonal and communication skill with critical thinking mind-set
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Proficientin Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Candidates with lesser experience / exposure may be considered for the post of Associate
