We actively support social enterprises and work with ecosystem partners to co-create programmes that enable access to food, nutrition, education and healthcare, while also focusing on financial and digital literacy to build social and financial resilience. With ageing societies emerging as a pressing issue, we are also intensifying efforts to redefine ageing and empower people of all ages to age with dignity, purpose, and joy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Local Implementation of Regional Strategy
  • Activate regional strategies in Hong Kong to provide essential needs (e.g., food, healthcare, education) and foster inclusion through digital and financial literacy, and employability.
  • Address social challenges systematically, especially those related to ageing population, by collaborating with social service, private, and public organisations.
2. Partnerships & Ecosystem Building
  • Identify, assess, and cultivate partnerships with social enterprises for grant funding, and with NGOs to co-create high-impact programmes.
  • Nurture a thriving impact ecosystem through engagement with cross-sector stakeholders-from government and academia to social service organisations and community groups.
  • Bridge internal expertise across DBS to create synergies and amplify impact.
3. Programme Development & Execution
  • Co-create innovative community programmes anchored in Theory of Change to ensure strategic alignment and measurable outcomes.
  • Manage end-to-end grant-making initiatives-from outreach and evaluation to ongoing support and capacity building.
  • Champion initiatives to build the capacity of social enterprises and NGO partners.
4. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Uphold robust governance frameworks to ensure compliance with internal policies and external requirements.
  • Oversee funding policies and due diligence, ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment with reporting standards.
5. Impact Measurement & Evaluation
  • Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks with partners to track programme efficacy and outcomes.
  • Leverage data insights to optimise programmes and share learnings across internal and external stakeholders.
6. Advocacy & Thought Leadership
  • Champion DBS Foundation and the bank's mission and initiatives through storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and community events.
  • Contribute to thought leadership to advance social impact discourse in Hong Kong and across the region.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in philanthropy, corporate social responsibility (CSR), or the social impact sector in Hong Kong. Prior exposure to corporate philanthropy and social investment will be a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record in designing, managing, and monitoring impact programmes with measurable results.
  • Understanding of Hong Kong's social landscape, particularly relating to ageing, community development, and social entrepreneurship.
  • Strong grasp of impact measurement methodologies, governance processes, and philanthropy trends.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Able to engage and influence a wide spectrum of stakeholders. Bilingual proficiency in English and Cantonese is required.
  • Strong risk and compliance orientation with the ability to implement robust governance structures.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, lean environment. Comfortable leading initiatives independently.
  • Willingness to travel across Asia as required.
