Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and analytically driven professional to lead our syndicated loan participation strategy and the implementation of structured trade finance solutions within the Corporate Banking team. This role will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing high-quality external syndicated loan opportunities from mandated lead arrangers (MLAs). The incumbent will also play a key role in developing and operationalizing dual factoring and refactoring programs as complementary asset classes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dual Factoring & Refactoring Implementation

- Lead the design, documentation, and operational rollout of dual factoring and/or refactoring programs.

- Assess credit risk of underlying obligors (buyers) and sellers in factoring structures; evaluate concentration, tenor, and recourse terms.

- Collaborate with technology, compliance, and operations teams to integrate factoring workflows into the bank's digital platform.

- Liaise with domestic and cross-border factoring partners, including banks and non-bank financial institutions, to structure scalable programs.

- Ensure alignment with HKMA guidelines on trade finance, AML/KYC requirements, and accounting treatment

2. Syndicated Loan Participation

- Source attractive syndicated loan deals from global and regional MLAs.

- Maintain strong relationships with syndication desks of lead arranger banks to gain early access to deal flow.

- Conduct independent credit analysis, due diligence, and risk assessment of borrowers, sectors, and transaction structures.

- Evaluate pricing, covenants, collateral, and documentation to ensure alignment with the bank's risk appetite and return targets.

- Prepare internal credit memos and present recommendations to the Credit Committee for approval.

- Manage end-to-end participation process-from mandate review and commitment decision to settlement coordination with Operations and Legal.

- Track portfolio performance, monitor secondary market movements, and propose trade opportunities (e.g., buy/sell positions) where appropriate.

- Contribute to the development of the bank's syndicated loan participation framework, including sector limits, concentration controls, and ESG integration.

Job Requirement

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.

• At least 5 years' experience in Banking or Fintech industry with good knowledge and experiences in commercial lending and e-Commerce area.

• Highly motivated and proven record of delivery within challenging time scale

• Innovative and entrepreneur mindset, and strong sense of ownership in driving projects and implementing changes

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin);

• Excellent command of PowerPoint and Excel.
