Key Areas of Responsibilities
• Handle and monitor litigation, arbitration and other disputes
• Handle contentious regulatory matters, internal and external inquiries and investigations (regulatory and otherwise)
• Assist on employment related matters
• Provide legal advice on a variety of matters in respect of the operation of the Firm (including corporate communications, real estate and other general commercial matters)
• Develop and regularly update Group policies and procedures
• Participate in regulatory initiatives, policy work and other ad hoc projects as needed
• Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and legal documents
• Advise on legal risks and implications of business strategies and decisions
Requirements
• Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree or above from a recognized University (local or overseas)
• Lawyer with minimum 3+ years of relevant experience from a reputable international law firm, or in-house counsel at a leading financial institution, with 3-7 years of post-qualification experience
• Qualified in HK, E&W, US or other major common law jurisdictions
• Experience in handling litigation, regulatory, general commercial and employment matters in Hong Kong and other jurisdictions
• Knowledge of brokerage, investment banking, funds, equity or FICC business will be advantageous
• Excellent drafting, communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Excellent command of English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)
