Your New Company
Our client is a leading regional bank offering corporate banking, trade finance, private banking and wealth management services. They are now looking to grow their team and would like to hire a dynamic and energetic junior lawyer for their team.
Your Role
- Provide guidance on corporate lending, trade finance, derivatives, and structured products.
- Support product development and innovation with clear legal frameworks.
- Advise on Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), and other APAC regulatory requirements.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the bank's operations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks in banking operations.
- Draft and maintain internal policies, templates, and playbooks for consistent legal standards.
- Support dispute resolution, enforcement, and litigation management when required.
- Collaborate with regional offices and external counsel to manage multi-jurisdictional transactions.
- Ensure alignment of legal advice with global standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and business leaders.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on legal and regulatory issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or an equivalent qualification.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
